20 Days in Northwest China(part1)

( 2013-2014 )
My 4th. solo exhibition in 2014 : This series of works presents a documentation of a traveller, an artist, observing the landforms both geographically and artistically. The end of the year 2013 travels really takes me to places I have always dreamed of: Xinjiang, Dunhuang, Qinghai Lake. The geology of Northwest China is very unique and beautiful, to me it is the most beautiful area of China Mainland; the whole area it just like a macrofossil, in comparison the human was so tiny, and the other unique character was there are so many different geology form in here, like: Gobi Desert, Qaidam Basin, Taklamakan Desert, Tarim Basin, Turpan Basin and Dzungarian Basin. In this series of works, I am moving towards a macro way to study the art of landscape. I want to look through the physical form of the landscape itself, and by focus on this aspect, I thoroughly see a lots of beautiful contour and form, and the result it really excite me! I can see how the elements of geology converted on to canvas..I can see the process of how the knowledge of geology aesthetically growth..
